   Netscape Messenger has a useful toolbar to help you manage your e-mail messages. Clicking on certain buttons below will take you to pages that will describe how they are used in greater detail. Click the Back button to return to this page.

• Get Msg: Get new mail messages
• New Msg: Create a new message
• Reply: Reply to the sender
• Reply All: Reply to all
• Forward: Forward the selected message
• File: File the selected message
• Next: Next unread message
• Print: Print the selected message
• Delete: Delete the selected message
• Stop: Stop the current transfer

   The Message Composition window has also two toolbars that you can use while creating e-mail messages: the Message toolbar and the Formatting toolbar. Please see the images below for details.

The Message toolbar

The Message toolbar is used to carry out certain functions related to the the messages you compose.

 

• Send: Send this message
• Quote: Quote previous document
• Address: Address this message (using the address book)
• Attach: Include an attachment
• Options: Display message options
• Spelling: Check spelling
• Save: Save this message as a draft
• Security: Show security information
• Stop: Stop the current transfer   

The Formatting toolbar

The Formatting toolbar allows you to customize the appearance of the message using HTML. You don't need to know HTML to use it, and most e-mail software packages today can receive HTML e-mail.

 

• Paragraph Style: Choose between 12 different paragraph styles.
• Font Size: Choose the size of the font from 7 (small) to 36 (large).
• Font Color: Choose from many font colors.
• Bold: Selected text will appear in bold type.
• Italic: Selected text will be italicized.
• Underline: Selected text will be underlined.
• Remove all styles: Selected text will revert to the default settings.
• Bulleted List: Constructs a bulleted list.
• Numbered List: Constructs a numbered list.
• Decrease Indent
• Increase Indent
• Change the Alignment: Specify Left, Middle, or Right alignment.
• Insert Object: Insert a Hyperlink, Target, Graphic, Line, or Table.
